On the island of Zakynthos meat,  olive oil and vegetables are the three fundamental ingredients to most meals with barbecues being constantly stoked or if you want to try some traditional home cooking you should give the stuffed chicken or rabbit a try,  olive oil is never used sparingly on the fresh,  organic,  home grown vegetables and fresh fish can also be found,   more often than not with you choosing your fish before it is prepared.  Meals are usually accompanied with wine,  of which Zakynthos has plenty to choose from and then finished of with a plate of fresh fruit dressed with honey and cinnamon.
