Solomos museum is a cultural museum with great exhibits dated from 15th century. The museum is named after the National poet of Greece, Dionysios Solomos. He lived for the greater part of his life and to the day of his death (1798-1857) on the islands of Zakynthos and Corfu, where he also wrote the major and the most important part of his work, including the "Free Besieged". Many of the exhibits in the museum belonged to Dionysios Solomos but also to other great (historically wise) men who lived on the island of Zakynthos.
It is also worth while mentioning that the visitors can use an innovative virtual-guide system in order to guide themselves around the museum.
